This 1961 Canadian cent shows a simple die clash event. The overlay above shows the position of the dies when they did clash.


The familiar “boomerang” shape die clash around the last two digits of the date is produced by the field and the line formed by the chin and throat of Queen Elizabeth.

Also seen is the back part of the neck of the Queen, clashed below the maple leaf and above the last A in CANADA.
