TDC-1c-1984-02

This 1984 Lincoln cent shows one strong clash event and possibly two much weaker clash events. The overlay shows the relative position of the dies when they did clash during the strongest event. Notice the familiar 5° rotation of the clash.

The image to the left shows the strong clash marks left by the bays and a weaker clash mark indicated by a white arrow.

Only the strongest die clash event is seen on the right side of the obverse die.

A strong clash mark is seen through bay three exiting from the Memorial building base line below the left URN.

While the strong event clash mark is evident, there are possibly two other clash marks involved to the left of the main clash mark. They are indicated by black and white arrows.
