TDC-1c-1972-01

This is a simple, rotated (5°), unabraded die clash on a 1972 Lincoln cent.

This coin comes to the site courtesy of David Stiff.

The images to the left show the clash marks left by the reverse die on the obverse die. The outline of the cornice can be seen below the word LIBERTY while the Memorial building base line can be seen to the left of Lincoln’s era.

The roof line of the Memorial building can be seen through the date with the cornice seen above the 7 digit.

The next three pictures to the left show the clash marks left by the obverse die aon the reverse die.

Notice in the last image that part of the 1 digit from the date is clashed from the right side of the Memorial building roof. This is a bit unusual.
