TDC-1c-1956-01

This is a nice example of a simple die clash that is found on a 1956 Lincoln cent.

 

This coin comes to us from David Beebe.

Parts of the letter N from the word CENT and the E from the word ONE can be seen clashed below Lincoln’s chin.

 

The corresponding die clash can be seen on the reverse die as a line from the bottom of the E to the right side of the letter N.
