TDC-100c-1972D-04

This is a typical die clash event found on a 1972D Eisenhower dollar coin.

The image to the left shows what is called by the Ike Group “The Hair Lip”, which is formed by the field and the upper part of the eagle’s right wing.

Also sen on the obverse of this coin is the clash mark left by the first U of UNUM.

The reverse die shows the reciprocal clash mark as a line from the globe of the earth to the first U of UNUM.
