TDC-100c-1972-01 (TYPE III)

This is a simple typical die clash on an Ike dollar from 1972. This particular coin has a type three reverse.

Note the talon mark on Ike’s forehead, which is the typical die clash for the Ike dollar.

The area under Ike’s chin appears to have been abraded to remove a possible clash mark.

The area just over  the AR of DOLLAR shows the clash left by the top of Ike’s head.

This particular coin has a doubled die reverse. Notching is evident on the stars, AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR and parts of the craters.
