This 1985-P Roosevelt dime under went to clash events that had enough offset in position to create a counter clash type I.

The image below clearly shows the two clash events by the clash marks left from the Laurel branch with leaves and part of the letters from the motto EPU.

The next image below shows the double clash marks left by the right side of the torch under Roosevelt’s jaw line, the top oak leaves and the line left by the letters OF and the first part of AMERICA (AM) from the reverse through the date area. Also seen are the lines from the bottom of the letters of word AMERICA behind Roosevelt’s neck.

This next picture shows the transfer of the reverse clash mark from the torch back to the reverse die offset to the right. This area is the counter clash.

The clash mark behind Roosevelt’s neck is actually left by the field under the letters of AMERICA, in this case CIRE from top to bottom.
