ADC-FR50C-1932-01

Here we have strong double sided clashed dies on a 1932 French 50 Centimes.

Clash marks from the various parts of the grapes and fruits in cornucopias can be seen in front of the portrait as well a little behind the ear. Text from the reverse permeates the text from the obverse. Above the portrait you can see the lower portions of the two cornucopias.

The reverse clash marks in turn shows obverse text permeating through the reverse text (see below for text info). There is also a delicate clash of the portrait’s head peaking through the design elements on the reverse.

The bottom illustration shows and approximation overlay diagram and the relative position of the dies.

The obverse text reads: REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE MORLON

The reverse text reads: LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE 50 CENTIMES 1932

Note: this is the open 9 & 2 type.
