ADC-1c-2011-03

Illustrated below is a 2011 Lincoln Shield Cent with two sided clash marks. On the obverse, one can see parts of the striped shielding in the fields, slightly near Lincoln’s mouth and on the coat collar, the shield’s edge can also be seen in front of and behind Lincoln’s portrait (this die is similar to ADC-1c-2011-02 as well as ADC-1c-2011-01  – with clash marks in a slightly different location). Die 03 has clash marks that are slightly higher than die 02. Looking at the letters UNU of UNUM, which appear in front of and behind the tie, die 03 has these marks are ever so slightly higher than die 02, and further west than die 01. For attribution purposes, I have included a comparison set of images at the bottom of the three dies.

On the reverse, within the shield design, are the bottom of the nose, jaw, beard and part of the hair.
