This is an exceptionally strong die clash that is found on a 1969-S Lincoln cent. Part of the peripheral lettering from the reverse can be seen clashed above and to the right of Lincoln’s head on the obverse. Most of the Lincoln Memorial building has been transferred to the obverse from the clash and the full outline of Lincoln’s bust can be seen on the reverse.

This coin is part of the collection of J. T. Stanton, co-author of the Cherrypicker’s Guide.
