The first two clash events occurred in the same approximate area; under Lincoln’s bust and through the word STATES. Double clash marks are seen from the letters in SATES under Lincoln’s bust area and a double line, offset from each other is seen through the word STATES. A single clash mark is seen coming from the bottom of the letter D in UNITED. The two overlays above show the approximate location of the dies when they meet.
