This is a simple tilted die clash that shows the lower part of Lincoln’s back clashed just to the right of the D in UNITED. There is a faint clash mark left by the bottom of Lincoln’s bust seen above the letters in STATES. There is no reciprocal die clash on the obverse die.

This clash event can be recognized by the position of the mint mark to the date and the die crack from the top of the C to E in CENT.
