ADC-1c-1943S-01

This 1943 S Lincoln cent shows a moderately strong die clash on the obverse.

This coin was discovered by Aaron Slager.

Parts of the letter N from the word CENT can be seen clashed under Lincoln’s chin.  A small portion of the C from CENT can be seen clashed to the  left of the nape of Lincoln’s neck.   Also the O of OF and the N of UNITED can be found clashed at the back of Lincoln’s head.  A clash of the back of Lincoln’s head can be found extending below the O of Of on the reverse.  A die chip above the left side of the T of LIBERTY, a die scratch extending from the right of Lincoln’s lower lip and multiple die scratches between the E of ONE and the T of CENT can be used as die markers to identify this clash.
