This is an exceptionally strong die clash event found on a 1979D S.B.A. dollar coin. This coin is in the collection of Dale Stokes. The overlay provide shows the approximate location of the dies when they did clash.

 

Many of the design elements on the reverse were transferred to the obverse as die clash marks.

The most recognizable die clash mark seen on the reverse is the profile of S.B.A.’s face as seen in the above right image.
