The 1979-P, S.B.A had a strong clash event. This left deep clash marks on both the obverse and reverse dies that were not abraded.

This coin is in the collection of Joe Koelling.

The image to the right shows the clash marks left by the craters on the moon and the tail feather of the eagle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lower part of the eagle’s right wing can be seen clashed into the field by S.B.A.’s chin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The top of the earth and the eagle’s left wing can be seen clashed into the field below S.B.A’s bun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Part of the eagle’s left wing tip can be seen clashed below the LI of LIBERTY.

S.B.A.’s  forehead, nose and lips can be seen clearly clashed to the right of the eagle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The back of S.B.A.’s neck and bun are clashed into the globe of the earth and the field above the eagle’s head.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The top of S.B.A.’s head can be seen clashed into the moon’s surface above ONE DOLLAR.
