The photo to the left shows the calsh marks left by the denticles on the edge of the die on the 1962 Canadian cent.


While we can be positive of the east to west alignment of the dies to each other, there may be a slight difference of positioning in the north to south direction of the dies than depicted by the overlay.

 

The overlay shows both the reverse and obverse dies in a medal strike, which Canada uses instead of the coin strike (dies 180 degrees different in position).
