MAD Clashes

The Study of Unusual Die Clashes

CCL(T1)-5c-2000-01

This die clash is the same as ADC-5c-2000-03. However, ADC-5c-2000-03 did not show the counter clash marks found on this coin, so therefore it is a new listing.

This coin comes to us courtesy of David Strzalkowski.

The next three pictures to the left show the relative position of the dies during each clash event. The first overlay was the last clash event to occur, while the second over;lay was the middle event and the last was the first event.

The letters from UNITED can be seen clashed from the third event just above Jefferson's front hair line.
